Today at noon we’re launching our first gathering and initiative to clean the seabed. Our mission is simple but important: to identify and remove plastics, tires, metals, and other objects that burden our marine environment.
The Mediterranean Sea, though covering less than 1% of the world's oceans, holds nearly 10% of global marine biodiversity. It's a cradle of life, culture, and economic activity—especially for countries like Greece, where the sea is both a livelihood and a legacy.
Tourism is one of Greece’s economic cornerstones, drawing millions each year. But with this popularity comes a pressing question: can we continue to enjoy Greece’s natural and cultural treasures without harming them?
Sea pollution—rising steadily due to human activity—now endangers not only marine ecosystems but also the daily lives and traditions of local communities that rely on clean, vibrant waters.
